MPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT SCHEME & SYLLABUS OF EXAMINATION ADVERTISEMENT NO. – 10 OF 2025.

KOLKATA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

1. Mode of Examination:

   The Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz.

2.  (1) Written Test (Objective), (

3. 2) Personality Test, as detailed below:

   Written Test :

   The OMR based Written Examination of 200 marks consisting of multiple choice, objective type of 100 questions of carrying 2 (two) marks each will be conducted. There will be negative marking of 1 (one) mark each for every incorrect / wrong answer.

4. Question will be set in English and time allowed will be 2 (two) hours.

5. Syllabus for the Written Test: For the post of Teacher (English I Hindi I Urdu):-

Out of 100 question 40 questions will be on General Knowledge, English, Current Affairs, Mathematics (Madhyamik Standard) & Reasoning.

The remaining 60 (sixty) questions will be on course content of English/ Hindi/ Urdu subject in Higher Secondary Examination under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and Course Content of two years diploma in elementary Education.

Personality Test: 40 marks

Candidates about 3 (three) times of the vacancy, will be called on merit basis for Personality Test, subject to obtaining qualifying marks @ 45% for General Candidates, @ 40% O.B.C. (A) & O.B.C.
